The Wood Architecture Park is being constructed in the vicinity of the Sibelius Hall in Lahti. The park will consist of buildings and structures designed by the winners of the International Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award.
The Wood Architecture Park celebrates the history of the Lahti harbour, but also of the wood expertise in Lahti and of modern modes of construction. The designs are important public works of art that provide aesthetic experiences and enliven the park area, thus significantly enhancing the quality of living.
The Wood Architecture Park is created in co-operation between the Wood in Culture Association and the City of Lahti.
Wood in Culture Association has been operating in 1998–2016.
